Pakistan Foreign Minister Dar arrives in New York for UN General Assembly
New York, September 21 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, arrived in New York to attend the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar was received by Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Consul General in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai, as well as officials from Pakistan's UN Mission and the Consulate General in New York.
The statement noted that Dar will hold high-level engagements throughout the coming week, accompany the Prime Minister of Pakistan, participate in ministerial-level meetings, and present his country's views on bilateral, regional, and international issues on the UN agenda that are of importance to Pakistan.
The statement added that Dar will hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts and take part in various high-level engagements on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
