Palestine condemns Ecuador's reopening of diplomatic office in Jerusalem
Ramallah, May 7 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Ecuador’s reopening of its diplomatic office in occupied Jerusalem.
The Ministry strongly condemned President Daniel Noboa Azin’s decision to reopen the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Office in Jerusalem, which is affiliated with Ecuador’s Embassy in Tel Aviv.
The statement noted that the decision constitutes a clear violation of international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the international consensus regarding the legal status of Jerusalem.
“This move also represents a violation of the rights of the Palestinian people and their sovereignty over their land, especially in light of the genocidal war being waged by the occupiers against all Palestinians. Ecuador, as a member of the international community, must respect and abide by international law,” the statement added.
