Palestine–Montenegro meeting in Antalya
Antalya, April 17 (Hibya) - Delegations from Palestine and Montenegro met within the scope of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum to discuss the latest developments in Gaza and the West Bank, the humanitarian crisis, and the two-state solution perspective.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin held a meeting with Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic as part of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Palestine’s Ambassador to Türkiye Nasri Abu Jeysh and First Secretary Cemil Mehna also attended the meeting.
Minister Shahin reviewed the latest situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, highlighting ongoing violations and the deepening humanitarian crisis. She emphasized that the international community must take concrete steps to stop these violations and ensure the implementation of international law, noting that a two-state solution is essential for lasting stability.
Montenegrin Minister Ibrahimovic stated that his country supports peace and stability, stressing the need to protect civilians in Gaza and increase humanitarian aid. He expressed concern over the worsening humanitarian situation and underlined the necessity of a ceasefire, support for reconstruction, and adherence to international law.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation and coordination in international platforms to support the rights of the Palestinian people and to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.
