Palestinian Response to Israeli Law on Foreign Missions in Jerusalem
Ramallah, October 30 (Hibya) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the Israeli law on foreign missions in Jerusalem as a blatant violation of international legitimacy.
A statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned of the dangers associated with the Israeli Knesset’s initial approval of a bill prohibiting foreign missions from providing services to Palestinian citizens in Jerusalem.
The statement emphasized that this move is considered an integral part of Israel's colonial and expansionist policy aimed at annexing and Judaizing Jerusalem, imposing Israeli laws, and unilaterally determining the future of the city with occupation forces.
The ministry reiterated that this law is illegitimate and constitutes a blatant violation of international decisions affirming that Jerusalem has been an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories since 1967 and is the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.
“The ministry calls on all nations to reject compliance with this law, as its observance constitutes a serious violation of established international norms.”
