Pavel met with soldiers serving in the NATO mission in Latvia
Prague, March 11 (Hibya) - Czech President Petr Pavel visited the Ādaži Military Base in Latvia and met with Czech soldiers serving there.
Pavel stated that during the visit he had lunch at the army dining hall together with soldiers from the 153rd Engineer Battalion of the Czech Armed Forces and had the opportunity to talk with them about their duties in Latvia.
President Pavel noted that the Czech army actively contributes to the NATO mission in Latvia and that this mission helps strengthen Europe’s security. Pavel also emphasized that collective defense is one of the most visible symbols of the partnership between Czechia and Latvia.
