According to a statement from the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova held a meeting with UNICEF Bulgaria Representative Christina de Bruyne.

The two agreed that, in the face of growing international conflicts and global challenges, the protection of children's rights should remain among the international community's top priorities.

Petrova stressed that supporting children is an investment in sustainable development and peace, emphasizing that the work of organizations such as UNICEF is becoming increasingly important, especially at a time when the international system is facing significant challenges.

The meeting also addressed the risks that the digital environment poses to children.

The parties emphasized the need for closer cooperation among governments, international organizations and technology companies to ensure children's online safety and protect them from harmful digital content.
