Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that a register-based population census plays an important role in management, monitoring and evaluation processes.

Highlighting the importance of a register-based census, Pezeshkian said, "A register-based population census is a valuable step toward smart management, monitoring and evaluation based on rights and justice."

Pezeshkian noted that the lack of integrated information over many years had created conditions conducive to discrimination in the country. He said, "Collecting accurate data creates the necessary conditions for implementing justice in every part of the country and increases the effectiveness of plans and productivity."
