Plenkovic meets with Hungarian Prime Minister Magyar
Brussels, June 19 (Hibya) - Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced that he met for the first time with Hungary’s new Prime Minister Peter Magyar on the sidelines of the European Council summit, where they discussed energy issues and bilateral relations between the two countries.
Referring to the meeting held within the framework of the European Council summit and regional cooperation between Croatia and Hungary, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic emphasized the importance of good neighborly relations.
Commenting on his first contact with his new Hungarian counterpart, Plenkovic said: “I am pleased to meet Hungary’s new Prime Minister Peter Magyar on the occasion of his first participation in the European Council.”
Outlining the main agenda items of the meeting and future plans, Plenkovic stated: “In a spirit of good neighborliness, we want to address unresolved issues in the energy sector and improve overall relations between Croatia and Hungary.”
Plenkovic concluded his remarks by saying: “We also agreed to hold a bilateral meeting in Zagreb or Budapest in the coming months.”
