Polish Prime Minister Tusk: Remember this when you fill up your tank
Warsaw, Aug. 6 (Hibya) - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the increase in energy company Orlen's profits during the first half of the year and the proposed taxation of fuel companies.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Orlen's profit in the first half of the year was PLN 10 billion higher than in the same period last year.
Explaining the reason behind the proposed tax measure, Tusk said: "The purpose of taxing these extraordinary profits—not only Orlen's but also those of fuel companies—was to reduce fuel prices at the pump. That is exactly what Karol Nawrocki blocked."
Prime Minister Tusk concluded his statement by saying: "Remember this when you fill up your tank."
