Precious metals decline: Gold falls 1.36 percent
Istanbul, August 31 (Hibya) - Precious metals markets showed a broadly negative trend on the final trading day of the week. Gold, silver, platinum and palladium prices declined, while copper remained flat.

The price of gold fell 1.36 percent to $4,468.30 per ounce. Gold's daily loss was $61.60.
The price of silver declined 1.71 percent to $65.85 per ounce. Silver's daily loss was $1.145.
The price of copper, one of the industrial metals, remained flat at $6.659.
Platinum fell 2.39 percent to $1,810. The daily loss in platinum was $44.30.
Palladium declined 2.31 percent to $1,413.50. Palladium's daily loss was recorded at $33.40.
As a result, all precious metals recorded declines, while the price of copper remained flat.
