Prevot: Europe is shaping its own future
Brussels, 16 June (Hibya) - Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot described the progress of Ukraine and Moldova in the European Union (EU) accession process as an important step, saying that enlargement is a geopolitical choice shaping Europe’s future.
Belgian Foreign Minister Prevot called the advancement of Ukraine and Moldova in the EU accession process an “important day”.
Prevot said the development represents both a moment of hope and recognition for the citizens of Ukraine and Moldova, and a clear geopolitical choice aimed at strengthening Europe and shaping its future.
It was also noted that Montenegro continues on its European path, while Albania is making progress through its reform process.
Prevot stressed that enlargement makes Europe stronger, but the EU must also prepare its internal structures for this process.
