Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

A joint statement was issued between the United States and Iraq following meetings held at the invitation of the US Department of State.

During the 15 June meeting between Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi and US Presidential Special Envoy Tom Barrack, the two sides emphasized their commitment to a strong and mutually beneficial partnership.

The statement noted that the US administration under President Donald Trump and the Iraqi government are working together to strengthen Iraq’s sovereignty, security, and prosperity.

The two sides also reaffirmed a shared vision of eliminating terrorism in Iraq, dismantling armed groups operating outside state authority, and restricting weapons exclusively to state control.

In economic cooperation, discussions included the Starlink licensing process, development of the West Qurna-2 and Nasiriyah oil fields, rehabilitation of the Kirkuk–Baniyas pipeline, and activities of US energy companies in Iraq. An agreement was also reached to enhance energy cooperation through an LNG import terminal project.

The statement concluded by stressing the importance of strengthening Iraq’s stability within a strong, sovereign, and unified federal democratic system, with continued cooperation between the two countries toward these goals.
