Pulev: Investments in infrastructure and industrial zones should drive regional growth
Sofia, August 4 (Hibya) – Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry Aleksandar Pulev said at a meeting with local authorities and business representatives in Ruse that investments in infrastructure and industrial zones would accelerate regional economic growth.
Pulev said the government's priorities include making more effective use of European Union funds, reducing administrative burdens, increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, and accelerating industrialization. He stated that strengthening the infrastructure of industrial zones is intended to attract new investors, adding that projects developed within this framework are planned to receive support in the next state budget.
The meeting also addressed Ruse's strategic position as an industrial and logistics hub, the development of transport infrastructure, and a draft Public-Private Partnership Law aimed at attracting private capital to strategic infrastructure projects.
