Libyan Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibeh met with Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi in Tripoli.

According to a statement by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed cooperation between the two countries and steps to further develop these relations, as well as regional developments and issues of common interest.

Al Khulaifi said Qatar supports Libya’s unity and stability and will continue to support peaceful solutions that meet the aspirations of the Libyan people, as well as the political process.

Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Al Khulaifi stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and supporting mediation and national reconciliation efforts in order to strengthen consensus among the parties in Libya and create favorable conditions for stability.

Al Khulaifi also said Qatar will continue its contacts with various parties and leaders in Libya to support efforts within the framework of the United Nations (UN) aimed at reaching a comprehensive and sustainable political solution.
