Putin: GDP increased by 4.2% from January to August
Moscow, October 28 (Hibya) - Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 4.2% from January to August, according to the Ministry of Economic Development.
Russian President Putin held a video conference on economic issues.
Putin noted that although GDP dynamics slowed slightly in the third quarter, the Russian economy continues to grow, saying: "According to the Ministry of Economic Development, GDP increased by 4.2% from January to August. By the end of the year, this figure is expected to reach 3.9%, which is above the global average."
Putin also emphasized that unemployment in Russia remains at a record low of 2.4% for the third consecutive month, adding:
"Our task, both in the short and long term, is to develop the supply economy in Russia, increase the volume of goods and services production, launch new investment projects, and create modern jobs across all industries and sectors. These tasks are priorities in the federal budget for the next three years."
