Qatar and UAE foreign ministers discuss regional developments
Doha, May 23 (Hibya) - Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone call with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the call, cooperation relations between the two countries and steps aimed at strengthening these relations were discussed.
Pakistan’s mediation initiatives between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran were also evaluated.
The parties also discussed coordination efforts aimed at supporting mediation initiatives to reduce tensions in the region and strengthen security and stability.
Qatari Prime Minister Al-Thani emphasized the importance of all parties approaching the ongoing mediation initiatives positively, stating that the root causes of the crisis should be resolved through peaceful means and dialogue.
Al-Thani also stressed the importance of reaching a sustainable agreement that would prevent renewed tensions in the region.
