Qatar condemns attacks on Kuwait's Consulate General in Basra
Doha, July 13 (Hibya) – Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the ongoing attacks on the premises of the State of Kuwait's Consulate General in Basra, Iraq, and the violation of the inviolability of consular missions.

In a statement, the ministry stressed that attacks against consular buildings constitute a clear violation of international law and the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. It added that respecting the inviolability of consular missions and ensuring full protection for them and their personnel is an international obligation.
Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and emphasized the importance of taking all necessary measures to ensure the security of consular missions and prevent the recurrence of such attacks.
