Saar meets with Austrian Foreign Minister Meinl-Reisinger
Jerusalem, May 8 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that he discussed Iran, Lebanon, and regional security issues with his Austrian counterpart Beate Meinl-Reisinger. Saar emphasized that Israel has no territorial claims in Lebanon.
Israeli Foreign Minister Saar made a statement regarding his meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger.
Saar stated that regional developments, particularly regarding Iran and Lebanon, were discussed during the meeting, as well as direct contacts being carried out with the Lebanese government.
Emphasizing that Israel has no territorial claims in Lebanon, Saar pointed to security concerns and stated that preventing Hezbollah attack plans and threats along the border remains a priority.
Saar also touched on the Palestinian issue and shared assessments regarding the policies of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
Cultural diplomacy was also on the agenda during the meeting. Saar thanked Austria for its support for Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Vienna.
