Saar: The Iranian people are not our enemy
Jerusalem, February 28 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that the Iranian people are not their enemies, adding, "Their desires for freedom and their heroic struggle in the face of brutal oppression are commendable."
Israeli Foreign Minister Saar stated that the Israeli Security Cabinet, under Prime Minister Netanyahu, made the only right decision for the security of Israel and the future of its people early this morning.
Despite the significant risks associated with the decision, Saar noted that inaction would have been far more dangerous, saying, "The time to act is now. Delaying could have allowed the Iranian regime to reach an immunity level in its nuclear program and start the mass production of long-range ballistic missiles."
Saar added, "The Iranian people are not our enemy. Their desires for freedom and their heroic struggle in the face of brutal oppression are worthy of praise. The enemy is the Iranian regime, which has written the destruction of Israel on its flag and is continuously working to achieve this goal."
