The United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Defence College hosted Brigadier General Frederick Chu, Deputy Secretary for Policy at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Singapore, for a lecture.

The lecture, titled “Defence Outlook and the Total Defence Model in Singapore,” addressed the key features of Singapore's defense policy and the concept of total defence.

Brigadier General Chu discussed the role of the total defence approach in enhancing the country's preparedness and capacity to address various challenges and threats. The lecture also included an exchange of experiences and views in the fields of strategic planning, security and defence.

The program continued with interactive discussions and dialogue with members of the college.
