Prime Minister Kristersson released a statement regarding the events in Salem, emphasizing Sweden’s firm stance against hate-based ideologies. He described the rhetoric seen in the area as “an expression of vile views and an inhuman mindset.”

Kristersson stressed that Nazism and far-right ideologies have no place in Sweden, as they contradict fundamental values such as freedom, equality, and democracy.

He noted that Sweden has broad freedoms of expression and assembly, but underlined that antisemitism and xenophobia cannot be tolerated.

Kristersson added that everyone in the country—regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background—must feel safe, stating: “We will never compromise on this.”
