Sybiha meets with Estonian counterpart Tsahkna
Kyiv, January 9 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that during his meeting with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, they discussed Russia’s attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna within the framework of the strategic partnership and regional security cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia.
Referring to Russia’s recent attacks and Estonia’s upcoming role, Sybiha said: “Estonia will assume the coordinator role in the Nordic-Baltic Eight in 2026. I once again explained in detail the barbaric attack carried out by Russia against Ukraine.”
Emphasizing defense priorities, Sybiha stated: “We discussed concrete steps to ensure a strong and coordinated response to Russia’s ongoing acts of terror; in particular, we focused on the urgent strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense.”
Highlighting the importance of regional cooperation, Sybiha concluded: “Ukraine places great importance on further developing cooperation with the Nordic-Baltic countries and highly appreciates their principled, consistent, and meaningful support.”
