Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that they were pleased to host Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset in Kyiv. Sybiha noted that they discussed peace efforts and accountability for Russia’s crimes, expressing strong appreciation for the Council of Europe and Berset’s personal leadership in this area.

Emphasizing that last year was a very important year in building the accountability infrastructure, Sybiha said, "This year, we coordinated joint steps toward the practical implementation of all accountability mechanisms, including at the highest level, and prepared for upcoming key events."
