US media: Second US warplane crashes near Strait of Hormuz
Washington, April 3 (Hibya) - A US-based newspaper reported that a second US warplane was shot down in the Persian Gulf on the same day.
According to a report by The New York Times, another US warplane was shot down near the Strait of Hormuz. The report, citing US officials, stated that the aircraft was hit and brought down during the incident in the Persian Gulf.
The report noted that the pilot survived the incident and that another US warplane was also targeted at the same time.
According to the NYT, an F-15 fighter jet was shot down simultaneously with an A-10 Warthog aircraft near the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards had previously claimed that a US F-35 fighter jet was shot down in the central regions of the country.
