Sybiha: Minsk is increasing its military presence near Ukraine's borders
Kyiv, June 24 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commented on the “mobilization exercises” being conducted in Belarus’s Grodno region.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that between June 20 and July 2, the military commissariat of the Oshmyany district had issued notifications to approximately 2,000 soldiers and established preliminary assembly points.
Sybiha noted that these activities are officially described as “routine data verification,” but argued that such measures are being used as a tool of intimidation against neighboring countries.
Stating that the Belarusian authorities have shown no intention of reducing tensions, Sybiha said, “Minsk is increasing its military presence near the borders of Ukraine and NATO countries.”
