According to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Philippine Foreign Minister Enrique Manalo sent a letter to his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, expressing gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its help in returning 17 Filipino crew members of the Galaxy Leader ship to their homeland.

Manalo emphasized that Iran's assistance reflects the long-standing relations between Tehran and Manila, as well as the friendly ties between the two nations. He also expressed appreciation for Iran’s valuable cooperation and support.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been following the issue of the release and repatriation of the Galaxy Leader crew through diplomatic channels over the past few months.
