Washington, May 8 (Hibya) - TikTok is suing the US Government to stop a new law that could ban the app in the US, NBC News reported.
The proposed law would require China-based Bytedance to sell its shares within a year - or TikTok would be banned in the US. The requirement follows concerns that data collected by the app is being transferred to the Chinese state and could be used by the Chinese state for propaganda purposes.
TikTok has denied the allegations and said it has never and will never share user data with the Chinese government.
