Trump: I ordered the postponement of military strikes for a period of 5 days
Washington, March 23 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump announced that, in line with the progress achieved in negotiations with Iran, he had ordered the postponement of military strikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure for five days.
U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement regarding high-level talks with Iran aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East.
Expressing satisfaction with the course of the negotiations, Trump said: "I am pleased to report that over the past two days, the United States and Iran have held very good and productive discussions regarding the complete and final resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East."
Referring to the content of the talks and their impact on military operations, Trump added: "Based on the atmosphere and tone of these deep, detailed, and constructive discussions, and subject to the success of ongoing meetings and consultations, I have instructed the Department of Defense to postpone all military strikes against Iran’s power plants and energy infrastructure for a period of five days."
