Trump: I tried to reduce Fauci's influence in managing COVID-19
Washington, July 29 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump said he tried to reduce Anthony Fauci's influence over decision-making during the COVID-19 pandemic and reiterated his criticism of the pandemic response.

Trump claimed that more people died from COVID-19 during the Biden administration and said he considered the "Operation Warp Speed" program implemented during his presidency to have been successful.
Trump said he had many disagreements with Anthony Fauci during the early stages of the pandemic and that he gradually tried to reduce Fauci's influence over the decision-making process. He also reiterated his view that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
Trump also criticized the decision to grant Fauci broad authority later on, arguing that it had been a mistake.
