Trump: ICE's authority to conduct traffic stops must be preserved
Washington, July 15 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump voiced his support for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel, saying that traffic stops are one of the most important tools in the fight against crime.
U.S. President Donald Trump said he supports Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel.
Trump stated that ICE personnel are doing an excellent job, saying, “The men and women of ICE are doing a fantastic job. Crime rates have fallen significantly across America, and in some areas they have reached levels not seen in decades.”
Criticizing former President Joe Biden's immigration policies, Trump said, “The open border policy allowed 25 million people to enter our country without proper screening or security checks. Many of them were criminals, and we need to remove them from our country.”
Trump stressed that ICE's authority to conduct traffic stops must be maintained, saying, “We cannot give up traffic stops, one of ICE's most important and effective tools in fighting crime. If we do, we will only make life easier for criminals.”
Addressing ICE personnel, Trump said, “Be fair, careful, and smart, and continue your very important mission. You are loved and respected in America.”
