Tsahkna: Pressure on Russia must be increased
Tallinn, July 15 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that international pressure on Russia must be intensified at a time when Ukraine is gaining strategic momentum on the battlefield, calling for avoiding any pause that could give Moscow time to recover.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that international pressure on Russia should be increased.
In his statement, Tsahkna said, “As Ukraine gains strategic momentum, the Kremlin’s sense of insecurity is also growing. This is precisely the moment when pressure is most effective, and when Russia’s isolation should not be eased but further deepened.”
Emphasizing that any pause granted to Russia at this stage would allow Moscow to regroup, Tsahkna said, “Any pause given now would provide Moscow with exactly what it wants most: the opportunity to recover and reassess its strategy. Ukraine’s partners must not fall into this trap.”
