Tsahkna: Baltic states will continue supporting Ukraine
Tallinn, August 24 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna met with the justice ministers of Latvia and Lithuania in Tallinn. The meeting addressed support for Ukraine, holding Russia accountable, Belarus’ instrumentalization of migration and cooperation among the Baltic states on Rail Baltica.
Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna met in Tallinn with Latvian Justice Minister Edvards Smiltens and Lithuanian Justice Minister Rita Tamasuniene.
In a statement on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, Tsahkna said Russia’s aggression and international crimes must have consequences.
Tsahkna said the Baltic states are united in supporting Ukraine and ensuring that Russia is held accountable, adding that Belarus’ instrumentalization of migration was also discussed at the meeting.
Tsahkna also said they discussed the importance of close Baltic cooperation on Rail Baltica.
