Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha and his Estonian counterpart Tsahkna held talks
Brussels, May 11 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna discussed air security, unmanned aerial vehicles, and regional security cooperation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Tsahkna met with Andrii Sybiha on the sidelines of the European Union Foreign Affairs Council (FAC).
During the meeting, the latest developments in Russia’s war against Ukraine were assessed, while strengthening cooperation in the fields of air security and counter-drone capabilities came to the forefront.
Tsahkna expressed Estonia’s expectation that Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles should not enter Estonian airspace. At the same time, he stated that Ukraine has gained significant experience in counter-drone systems and technologies and emphasized that this expertise is valuable for Estonia and the countries of the region as well.
The parties agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of air security and continue technical discussions between the relevant institutions.
