Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha calls on countries
Kyiv, March 30 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called on all countries to join the Expanded Partial Agreement for the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha noted that the number of countries ready to join the Expanded Partial Agreement for the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine is increasing.
Sybiha stated that eight countries have approved the agreement and more are expected, calling on all countries to take this step and support accountability efforts.
He emphasized that the scale of atrocities committed during Russia's aggression is unprecedented in Europe since World War II, saying: "The crime of aggression is the root cause of all this. There must be accountability and there will be no amnesty for Russian criminals, including the highest political and military leadership of the Russian Federation."
Sybiha added that the Special Tribunal revives the spirit of Nuremberg, stating: "Its implementation this year is vital not only to ensure justice for Ukraine and our people, but also to strengthen international criminal law, complement the efforts of the International Criminal Court, and prevent the recurrence of such horrific crimes in the future."
