Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: Continuous pressure must be applied on Russia
Kyiv, April 16 (Hibya) – Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that more than 100 civilians were injured and over a dozen people were killed in overnight attacks carried out by Russia.
In the ministry’s statement, it was noted that residential areas in regions such as Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipro were targeted, and that in Kyiv, police officers and medical personnel were injured when teams assisting the wounded were hit by a second strike.
It was also emphasized that the international community should increase pressure on Russia and support Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
The statement included the following:
“In Kyiv, three police officers and four medical workers assisting victims were injured in a second Russian strike. Ukraine continues to coordinate with international partners to strengthen its air defense.
The international response must match the scale of Russia’s terror; firm support for Ukraine’s defense and sustained pressure on Russia are necessary to end its aggression.”
