The United Nations reported that UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, made a statement at the Human Rights Council.
In the statement, it was said: "Justice systems can be fallible. As long as executions continue, unjust deaths will continue." Volker Türk called on countries to impose a moratorium on the death penalty and move toward its abolition.
