UN: Waste crimes undermine economic development


New York, April 3 (Hibya) - The United Nations (UN) reported that waste crimes pose a threat to the environment and human health.

The UN also reported that waste crimes undermine economic development. In a statement from the United Nations, it was said:

"The joint report of the UN Environment Programme and the UN Office on Drugs & Crime shows how criminals financially benefit from illegal waste shipments by exploiting legal loopholes."
