U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye Barrack holds high-level talks in Erbil
Erbil, 16 June (Hibya) - U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack met with officials of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Erbil, discussing Iraq’s stability, energy cooperation, and the development of Baghdad–Erbil relations. The “New Middle East vision” of the United States was also on the agenda.
United States Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack held a series of high-level meetings with officials of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Erbil.
In his talks with Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, and KRG presidential representatives, Barrack emphasized a shared commitment to working toward a stable, sovereign, and prosperous Iraq.
The discussions covered key issues such as energy, economy, and the development of Baghdad–Erbil relations, while also evaluating cooperation opportunities within the framework of the U.S. “New Middle East vision.”
The parties agreed to continue contacts to strengthen regional stability and enhance economic integration.
