US President Donald Trump drew attention to Indiana State Senate President Rodric Bray’s decision and the political situation in the state, offering assessments of the Republican Party and election results.

Commenting on Bray’s decision, Trump said, “I am pleased to announce that the man who ran the Indiana State Senate in an extremely foolish manner, causing nearly all candidates to lose their elections and many of them to remain in office for years, will not seek reelection as Senate President because he had no chance of being elected. Even better would be for him to resign from office entirely, but we will face him at the ballot box in Indiana.”

Arguing that Bray had harmed the party, Trump said, “Rodric Bray should be ashamed of himself for costing our country, especially the Republican Party, two seats in the US House of Representatives and causing election losses for all of his colleagues who acted alongside him! Isn’t it incredible how politics works?”

Thanking Indiana voters, Trump concluded his statement by saying, “I want to thank the great State of Indiana for your support, not only in my presidential election, which we won with the highest vote percentage in state history, but also in helping us get rid of the misguided senators who were led down a path of destruction by a fool named Rodric Bray. Indiana, I will never forget your loyalty!”
