Von der Leyen: Our sanctions are choking Russia's war economy
Brussels, April 29 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the imposed sanctions are increasing the pressure on the Russian economy.
European Union (EU) Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the Kremlin has restricted the flow of information and internet access in response to the imposed sanctions.
Highlighting the results of the sanctions, von der Leyen said: "Our sanctions are choking Russia's war economy. Their impact is so great that the Kremlin is restricting internet access."
Describing Russia’s current situation as a "digital Iron Curtain," von der Leyen stated: "Russia has fallen behind a digital Iron Curtain. But if there is one lesson from history, it is that walls eventually fall."
