Wadephul: The Strait of Hormuz must remain open to international maritime shipping
Berlin, July 14 (Hibya) - German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul met with Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. Wadephul said they condemned Iran's recent attacks on neighboring countries and agreed that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open to international maritime shipping.

In a statement, Wadephul said he had a productive meeting with Bahrain's Foreign Minister Al Zayani in Brussels.
Stating that Germany strongly condemns Iran's recent attacks on its neighboring countries, Wadephul said: "We strongly condemn Iran's recent attacks against its neighbors. The Strait of Hormuz must remain open to international maritime shipping, and no fees or transit charges should be imposed there."
