Steve Witkoff, the Middle East Special Envoy of United States President Donald Trump, announced that this week Ukraine and Russia carried out another prisoner exchange involving the return of one thousand people in line with agreements reached during trilateral talks with the United States in Geneva.

Witkoff emphasized that this exchange took place thanks to detailed peace negotiations conducted under the direction of President Donald Trump, stating: "Under the President’s leadership, we continue to achieve meaningful results as we work toward formulating a peace agreement that will definitively end the war."

Noting that the talks are ongoing and further progress is expected in the coming weeks, Witkoff added: "We thank the Swiss government for hosting these discussions and President Donald J. Trump for his leadership in advancing diplomacy to reach a solution."
