Zakharova: We are closely monitoring the situation in Moldova
Moscow, January 15 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said they are closely monitoring the situation in Moldova and that it is worrying that authorities continue to intimidate citizens through an imaginary “Russian threat.”
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zakharova stated that they are closely monitoring the situation in Moldova.
Zakharova said it is concerning that authorities continue to intimidate citizens via an imaginary “Russian threat,” adding: “The policy of the Chisinau authorities, which constantly fuels social tensions in Moldova, is leading to a mass emigration of Moldovans from the country.”
Zakharova added: “Finland’s withdrawal from the international Mine Ban Treaty (the Ottawa Treaty) entered into force on January 10. This move by the Finnish authorities is another manifestation of policies aimed at militarizing the country.”
Stating that they are observing a growing wave of pressure in Germany’s information space, Zakharova said: “The campaign launched by German authorities against the popularity of Russian media in German public opinion is gaining momentum and is being used to suppress opposition within German society.”
