Zelensky: Protecting our cultural heritage is very important
Kyiv, August 15 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the opening of the exhibition “Spiritual Treasures of the Nation: Treasury of Sacred Objects of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra,” organized to mark the 975th anniversary of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Zelensky said Ukraine’s cultural heritage must be protected despite Russia’s attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the opening of the exhibition “Spiritual Treasures of the Nation: Treasury of Sacred Objects of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra,” organized to mark the 975th anniversary of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
Zelensky said, “It is very important to do everything possible to protect our cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations.”
Zelensky also highlighted the importance of UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany’s first visit to Ukraine in this capacity, saying, “Together with UNESCO, we can and must do more to ensure that every Ukrainian site deserving a place on the World Heritage List and support receives this status.”
