Zelensky: Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 8 missiles and 136 UAVs
Kyiv, July 26 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that one person was killed and nine others were injured in a drone attack on residential buildings in Kharkiv. Zelensky said Russia used around 1,700 UAVs, 95 missiles, and more than 1,630 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine this week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a statement regarding Russia's latest attacks on Ukraine.
Zelensky said that one person was killed and nine others, including two children, were injured in a drone attack on residential buildings in Kharkiv. He added that emergency services continue to work at the scene and that firefighters were also responding to a fire at a building materials store in Kryvyi Rih.
Zelensky stated that Russia launched an overnight attack on Ukraine using 8 missiles and 136 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types. He said the attacks targeted the regions of Kherson, Donetsk, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv, as well as the capital, Kyiv.
Zelensky said Kyiv was struck by ballistic missiles and that three people were injured in the attack.
The Ukrainian president stated that Russia had used around 1,700 UAVs, more than 1,630 guided aerial bombs, and 95 missiles of various types against Ukraine this week, noting that more than half of the attacks involved ballistic missiles.
Zelensky stressed the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense capabilities, saying that the timely delivery of ballistic missile defense systems from partners saves lives.
