Zelensky: Russia launched its sixth ballistic attack on Kyiv in July
Kyiv, July 16 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said two people were killed and five others injured in Russia's overnight missile attack on Kyiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia carried out a missile attack on Kyiv overnight.
Zelensky said a child was among the injured and that residential buildings, warehouse facilities, and vehicles were damaged. He added that four people were wounded in Russia's drone and guided aerial bomb attacks in the Kharkiv region, where a cinema, tennis courts, and civilian residential areas were targeted.
He also said that a public park in Sumy was struck, a tractor crew was targeted in the region, apartment buildings were damaged in Zaporizhzhia, and energy infrastructure sustained damage in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions.
"Russia used a total of 13 missiles, eight of them ballistic, as well as 151 drones. This was the sixth ballistic attack on Kyiv in July alone," Zelensky said.
Stressing the critical importance of accelerating deliveries of interceptor missiles for air defense systems, Zelensky said, "Every aid package matters. Everything we have agreed with our partners must be delivered on time. The speed of deliveries saves lives and weakens Russia's offensive capabilities. I thank everyone who is helping."
