4 civilians killed after Iranian missile debris falls in southern Syria
Damascus, March 5 (Hibya) – Four civilians were killed after debris from Iranian missiles fell in southern Syria. Syrian airspace was closed as regional tensions escalated.
According to CCTV, debris from Iranian missiles fell on residential areas in southern Syria, killing four civilians and injuring many others. Fragments struck the provinces of Suwayda, Quneitra and Daraa.
Following the incident, the authorities in Damascus closed the airspace, while school closures and emergency shutdown measures increased concerns in the region.
The U.S.–Israel attack on Iran expanded the battlefield after Tehran carried out retaliatory strikes against several countries. Experts emphasized that the conflict serves the interests of none of the parties and noted that shockwaves have already disrupted global energy markets.
