Aliyev meets International Ski and Snowboard Federation President Oschpelt
Baku, September 26 (Hibya) – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Alexander Oschpelt, President of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation. The meeting addressed winter sports infrastructure in Azerbaijan and competitions to be held at the Shahdag Tourism Center.

During the meeting, it was noted that Azerbaijan hosts internationally significant sporting events, particularly winter sports competitions. It was also stated that the Formula 1 races held in Baku are organized at a high level.
It was noted that modern winter sports and skiing infrastructure has been established in Azerbaijan and that various major competitions will be held at the Shahdag Tourism Center under the organization of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation.
It was also noted that the partnership agreement signed last year between the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation contributes to developing the country’s potential in winter tourism and winter sports.
The parties also exchanged views on the future of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the federation.
