President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and on advancing the peace agenda. Cooperation in the fields of energy, regional transport connectivity, humanitarian demining, and other areas was also discussed.

Kos stated that the European Union is ready to support Azerbaijan’s efforts in humanitarian demining and projects related to the restoration of the Nakhchivan railway line.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that there are significant opportunities to further expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in many areas.
