Ambassador Al Sani met with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Grandi
Doha, October 2 (Hibya) – The State of Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Sani, met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi.
According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State of Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Sani, and UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi met at the Permanent Mission building in New York.
The ministry’s statement said that the meeting discussed issues of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The two sides also discussed how to strengthen joint efforts to provide humanitarian aid and support to alleviate the suffering of refugees and displaced persons around the world.
